Here’s a fabulous-looking antique hanging oil/kerosene lamp in good, as found condition! Made of metal, this old shop lamp has shades of old blue paint with minor surface rust along with a worn patina, giving it a great look! It is functional with a font that is solid and not rusted through. It holds fuel and the wick adjusting knob works and does indeed move the wick up and down on the burner. No guarantees on the safety of operation but everything works like it should. It would truly make a fabulous decorative piece that could be electrified if so desired. We found this while on a trip to the Baltic country of Lithuania a few years ago and it dates from the early Soviet period there. Fully assembled, this lamp is around 20 inches tall; the shade is 15 1/2 inches in diameter. It would look great displayed among both primitive and industrial antiques! A very unique piece that you won't find anywhere else!
