Here's a genuine warehouse find! Never-used vintage 1940s punchboard in excellent condition! These were found in shops and bars and used as trade stimulators. Typically, a customer would pay a small price to punch a hole, hoping to win a prize. This particular punchboard is a little different. It's called "DOUBLE or NOTHING" and was for the hardcore gambler! Instead of paying to punch a hole, the customer of the establishment could bet that the hole they punched had a slip of paper inside that indeed read "Double" or "Nothing". Depending on what it said, that's how much they would have pay for the merchandise, drink, etc. they were planning to buy. Of course, as the board reads, a punch could only be made in the presence of an attendant.
Found in storage, this punchboard is well preserved and no holes have been punched. In fact, the metal punch piece is still enclosed, sealed in the back.
It measures 9 1/8" long by 10 1/2" high by 3/4" thick. It displays wonderfully and is a cool, old, gambling piece! A great value and quite a deal for just $22! Wonderfully vivid colors and period look with only minor shelf wear from many years of storage. You won't be disappointed in this item!
