Antique Primitive European Metal Ox Oxen Cow Bell

Very charming antique metal cow bell in very good, working condition! European in origin, this old iron bell has a wonderfully aged patina. The iron clapper is in place and helps make the most delightful loud, deep tones when the bell is rung! Rugged and sturdy, this piece is well-made with hand worked sheet iron with braised welds. It has no cracks, holes or other damage to it. Originally used with cows and oxen, bells like this one helped herders keep track of free-roaming livestock as they grazed out of view. This bell is about 5 3/4 inches high, 5 1/8 inches long, and 2 7/8 inches wide. Guaranteed old and as found, it has a wonderful appearance and makes for a great, county, farm decor item!
