Here's a genuine warehouse find! It's a never-used vintage punchboard in excellent condition! These were found in taverns, bars, fraternal clubs, and such where they were used to raise funds. Typically, a customer would pay a small price to punch a hole, hoping to win a prize or cash. This particular gambling board offered "jackpots" from $25 all the way down to $1.00. It's called "GOLD BARS"! It cost 25 cents per hole punched. Inside each hole is a slip of paper with various slot machine type combinations printed on them. If your slip had one of the various combinations as shown on the punchboard, especially three gold bars, you would win a hole to punch in the jackpot section where the cash-winning slips are hidden. There are 30 holes in that section.
Found in storage, this punchboard is well preserved and no holes have been punched. In fact, the metal punch piece is still enclosed, sealed in the back.
It measures 9 3/4" high by 8" long by 7/8" thick. It displays wonderfully and is a cool, old, gambling piece! A great value and quite a deal for just $16! Wonderfully vivid colors and look with only very minor shelf wear from many years of storage. You won't be disappointed in this item! Will combine shipping on multiples; message me for discounted rate.
