Antique Country Primitive Wooden Box Grain Measure; As Found, Untouched, Dark Patina; Dovetail Joints

Sorry, this item has sold.

If you like primitive antiques, this should be right up your alley!! We found this piece in an old barn and its completely untouched and right out of the wild! It looks much like a small wooden shipping crate, but because of its small size, the thickness of the wood, and the residue left inside, we believe it to be a grain measure. It has the most wonderful, original, old, dry patina. We have not altered this surface with any substance, and we have not cleaned it up. Each corner has hand cut dovetail joints that make it strong and sturdy. We guarantee it to be old, original and unmolested. Oozing charm and character, this early 1900s container of sorts has a great, rustic appearance. No dry rot or signs of active deterioration or infestation. All planks, no plywood! Looks like it hadn't been touched in decades! Very charming and ready to display!
