Antique Wood & Leather Fireplace Bellows with Old Blue Paint; Primitive Hearth Tool

Sorry, this item has sold.

Here's a great item to decorate a fireplace hearth! This wood and leather fireplace bellows is in very good, well-preserved condition and still works! The nozzle at the end is made of metal and is still firmly attached. Bellows were used to blow air on hot embers to reignite fires. This one has awesome, old, blue paint and has a fabulous, old, worn patina with the wood grain peeking through the old paint. If you look closely, there's a decorative carving on the surface on one side. This piece measures 16 3/4 inches long, 7 1/8 inches wide, and about 2 1/4 inches high. There's a piece of leather with a hole for handing on the end of one of the handles. All original and just as we found it, this is a very nice piece!
