Vintage 1946 "Jar-0 Board" 10 Cent Punch Board; NOS Warehouse Find; Never Used Old Stock Gambling Punchboard

Sorry, this item has sold.

Here's an original, 1946 gambling punchboard in never used condition! It was discovered in storage where it sat for decades! Punchboards were usually found in shops, fraternal organizations, social clubs and bars and were used as trade stimulators. A customer would pay a small price to punch a hole, hoping to win a prize. This particular punchboard is called "The New Jar-O Board" and is priced 10 cents per punch. This board has 1800 holes and brought in $180.00 total. It advertises 90 total winners with prizes of 50 cents, $1.00 and $3.00.

Inside the holes are tiny slips of paper with numbers printed on them. Specific numbers in specific colors are winners. The board shows some age but its well-preserved and no holes have been punched. The price per punch was changed from 5 cents to 10 cents at some point in its history; the percentage of payout was blacked out with the price change. The metal punch tool is still sealed in the back. The board measures 10 11 1/2" high by 10 7/8" wide by 7/8" thick. It displays wonderfully and is a cool, old, gambling piece! A nice deal for just $22! Bright colors with some minor edge/corner wear from decades of storage. A great piece of ephemera!
