Antique Country Primitive Staved Wooden Water Barrel, Cask, Keg

Absolutely charming antique cask or water barrel in nice, as found condition! Made of wood staves with three iron bands, this piece has a wonderfully aged patina that is dry and all original. Nothing has been added to enhance its appearance; it has great coloring and nicer graining. This piece, which could also be described as a cask, was found in an old barn where it had spent decades untouched and forgotten. It stands 12 3/4 inches high, not including the wooden stopper. The top has two holes, one for pouring and filling, and another for a vent. The top and bottom have diameters of about 7 to 7 1/4 inches. Measurement may vary a bit due to the primitive nature of this piece. It's solid, sturdy and sound; it's not going to fall apart on you! No rot, woodworms, or other infestations or deteriorations.
