Here's an old, glass, advertising, paperweight from Stoller's Seed House of Paulding, Ohio. It reads: "To Insure A Good Crop, USE STOLLER'S QUALITY SEEDS, STOLLER'S SEED HOUSE, M. G. STOLLER, Prop.; PHONE 28, PAULDING, OHIO." Notice the phone number is only two digits!
Set within the glass, next to the text, is small glass receptacle containing a bunch of very small seeds. The underside of the paperweight is a mirror. There are no chips or cracks in any parts of the glass. The piece shows some age with foxing among the lettering, scratches and silver loss in the mirror and abrasions on the top of the glass. Nevertheless, it displays well and looks good. Stoller's Seed House filed for bankruptcy in the early 1950s; this piece is probably 1920s to early 1930s.
