Charming Antique Primitive Wooden Clock Box in Old Green Paint. As Found!

Here's an authentic, primitive, antique wooden clock box in as-found, untouched condition! Primitive boxes like this one were once kept on nightstands, next to a bed or hanging on the bedroom wall and alarm clocks and pocket watches were kept inside them! This particular box is well-built with hand-cut dovetail joints on the corners. The front has a hole to view the clock's face, and that wooden panel can be pulled out to place a clock inside or to wind it up. The front panel slides up and down in handcrafted grooves that keep it tight and secure. We placed a printed photo of a clock face in the window to provide an idea as to what the box would look like with a clock inside. NO CLOCK IS INCLUDED. The entire box is made from planks; there is no plywood in this piece. Recently found in an old Eastern European farmhouse, this charming little box is in old green paint, and it has an old patina that looks to have had plenty of use. Overall, it measures 8" H, 5 1/8" L and 4 1/4" W. Clock and watch boxes are rapidly disappearing and are very desirable. So charming and cute, we don't expect it to last long!
