Charming Antique Primitive Wooden Clock Box in Old Green Paint. As Found!

Here's an original, primitive, antique wooden clock/watch box in as-found, untouched condition! Primitive boxes like this one were once kept on nightstands, next to a bed or hanging on the bedroom wall and wind-up alarm clocks and pocket watches were kept inside them! This particular box was made for hanging a pocket watch from a hook built in. The entire box was hand made from planks; there is no plywood in this piece.....it's too old for that. Recently found in an old farmhouse, this charming little box is in old green paint, and it has an old patina that looks to have had plenty of use. Overall, it measures 8 3/4" H, 5" L and 4 1/2" W. The hook moves up and down and could be removed if you wish to put something else inside. There is some old lettering on an unpainted area on the bottom inside. Clock and watch boxes are rapidly disappearing and are very desirable. So charming and cute, looks great hanging on a wall! Don't wait, we don't expect it to last long! (Watch not included.)
