Group of 54 Antique Brass & Copper Tokens for Amusement Games, Gambling 1930s, from Buffalo NY Establishments

$34.00

Here's a group of 54 vintage amusement tokens in various conditions. My friend is a scuba diver and found a bunch of these in Lake Erie and the Buffalo River close to shore where they had been for decades. He believes they came from the old taverns and establishments that once lined the Buffalo, NY waterfront. They have phrases like "Loaned For Amusement Only", "Good For 5 Cents In Trade", "No Cash Value", "Token Awarded For Skill", "Good For One Free Game", "Property of Machine", "Property of Vendor", etc. One just says "5 Cents" on one side and "In Trade" on the other. Despite what they say, they likely were used for gambling in some places. I believe some are brass and some are copper. They could use some cleaning as they were underwater for more than half a century. Some show age and wear; condition varies as these were salvaged from under water. Buyer receives actual tokens shown in the photos. Fun little collection of 54 assorted vintage tokens.
