Antique Primitive Early 1800s Treen Covered Spice Bowl; Beehive Shaped Turned Wooden Container

Sorry, this item has sold.

Here's a charming, early 1800s hand turned and carved wooden sugar or spice bowl in a beehive shape with original matching lid. It measures 3 1/2 inches at its widest diameter and is about 1 1/2 inches tall. The patina is old, smooth and original; nothing has been applied to enhance its appearance. The cover is missing a piece near an edge but still looks good and functions as it should with a snug fit. No cracks or borer holes. It's a nice, early 19th Century example of household treenware not often found anymore!
