E. R. Durkee & Co. Gauntlet Spice Box, Cinnamon Crate

Here's a fresh find, right out of an old barn! This is a small, antique, wooden, spice crate in good, as-sound condition. It has a colorful, original paper label on one side and stenciled lettering on the other. The label reads' "E.R. Durkee & Co.'s Gauntlet Spices, Strictly Pure CINNAMON. This box measures about 14 1/2 inches long, 7 3/8" wide, and 3 1/4 inches high. It's an open box; it has no cover. The corners are jointed and the wood is in very good shape. It's solid, rugged and sound; it will not fall apart. The label shows age and wear as does the lettering. It displays and shows very well. If you happen to a have a cover, its value would shoot up to over $200!
