Here's a very nice flow blue bowl in the very desirable "POPPY" pattern. Made back in the 1890s by New Wharf Pottery, the plate is about 7 1/2 inches in diameter. Marked with the company's stamp on back, it's signed on the back: "Poppy, N. W. P., England". It is in very good condition with blue poppies, an embossed ribbon, scalloped edge, and is free of chips and flea bites. There are two tiny parallel lines running inward from the edge that measure 1/4 inch long and are hard to see and aren't a structural threat. (Photo) There is no crazing; there are some usual light knife/fork marks. As the photos shoe, this bowl looks and displays great! Fresh to the market and right out of an estate!
