Antique Country Primitive Hanging Wooden Clock Box, Folksy Wall Box in Old Red Paint

This time we offer a very charming, original, primitive, antique wooden clock/wall box in as-found, untouched condition! Primitive boxes like this one were once kept on nightstands next to a bed or hanging on the bedroom wall and wind-up alarm clocks kept inside. This particular box was made for hanging and has a round opening/window
in the door to show the face of a clock (not included). The opening once had glass but that is gone. The entire box was hand made from planks; there is no plywood in this piece as it's too old for that. Recently found in an old farmhouse, this box is in old, dry, dark red paint and is loaded with character. It has an old, undisturbed patina that is a testament to its age and authenticity. Overall, it measures 12 7/8" H, 5 5/8" L and 3 5/8" W. At the top right corner of the door, there is a crude but cute little hook latch to keep the door shut tight. Clock and wall boxes are rapidly disappearing and are very desirable. So charming and cute, it is unique and looks great hanging on a wall! Don't wait, we don't expect it to last long!
