Antique Punched Tin Candle Lantern; 19th Century, Paul Revere Style, Old Red Paint

Here's an authentic, antique, Paul Revere style candle lantern in good, as-found condition. This is a real one, not one of those new/reproduction lamps found at all the gift shops and craft shows. This lantern is 7 1/2 inches tall with a 4 1/8 inch diameter. It has two round windows, each measuring 2 5/8 inches in diameter; one is missing its glass. It has light surface rust and is in old dark red paint. There is a single door with original hinge and latch still in place. On the bottom inside is a holder for a candle. The open punch work patterns cast wonderful patterns of light around the room when a candle is burning inside. Found in a barn, this old lantern is still dusty and dirty from decades of forgotten storage. It's solid, sturdy and sound. It's a scarce example of early lighting that somehow survived the passage of time.
