Here's a vintage 1940's Topps Chewing Gum Retailers 1/2 Certificate in excellent, well-preserved condition! These were issued with Topps Chewing Gum purchases and were redeemable for various premiums like watches, toasters and other merchandise. This specific certificate has a serial number of 539804B and was meant to be used by the expiration date of January 31, 1949. It was redeemable only by the retailer who received it when Topps Chewing Gum was ordered as inventory for their store. It's a scarce, historical item related to post-World War 2 era advertising and consumer practices. Very nice shape!
