Charming Antique Primitive Wooden Clock Box in Old Blue Paint. As Found!

Here's an original, primitive, antique wooden clock/wall box in as-found, untouched condition! Primitive boxes like this one were once kept on nightstands, next to a bed or hanging on the bedroom wall and wind-up alarm clocks and pocket watches were kept inside them! This particular box was made to hold an alarm clock and has a piece of glass that slide up and down in grooves built in the front of the box. The entire piece was hand made from planks; there is no plywood in this piece.....it's too old for that. Recently found in an old farmhouse, this charming little box is in old blue paint, and it has an old patina that looks to have been created from the passage of time and plenty of use. Overall, it measures 9 3/4" H, 5 7/8" L and 4 5/8" W. Oh so cute and charming, this piece can display all sorts of things inside! Old country wall boxes are rapidly disappearing and are very desirable. Primitive and full of character, looks great hanging on a wall!
