Antique Primitive Oil Kerosene Lamp with Folksy Tin Metal Sconce, as found!

$65.00

Here's a fabulous, antique oil or kerosene lamp in an old tin/metal sconce in as found, untouched condition! This appears to be 19th Century and was recently discovered in an old barn where it had been forgotten for generations. It's completely as we found it, still dusty, dirty and showing lots of age.

The lamp consists of a glass font with burner and it fits into the stamped metal sconce perfectly. The sconce has a filigreed holder and a heavily embossed reflector panel on the back. It looks to have a bit of an old, dark, red paint and a touch of surface rust in places, giving it a wonderful look. The sconce has some old, make-do repairs that only add to its charm and character. This piece is still structurally sound and able to support the glass oil lamp when hung on the wall. It is not in danger of falling apart.

With the lamp in the sconce, it measures 9 1/4 inches high and 4 5/8 inches at its widest. It is about 4 inches in depth. Delightfully imperfect and primitive, this lamp and sconce is ready to add a touch of 19th Century county charm to your home!
