Antique Country Primitive Wooden Mortar & Pestle Wall Rack in Old Paint!

Here's a very folksy, antique, wooden wall rack in very good, as-found condition! This piece has fabulous, untouched, original, old, dry green paint that adds so much charm to an already gorgeous piece! This is a mortar and pestle rack that would be used to hold a mortar in the center and the pestle horizontally, just above. Just about every kitchen in the 19th Century and back had a mortar and pestle set as a basic household item. This primitive rack has gorgeous, scalloped edges that give it loads of character. It measures 15 5/8 inches high, 6 5/8 inches long, and 3 3/8 inches wide/deep. It could hold a mortar that is 3 1/2 inches in diameter but the rim could be wider. This piece is fresh to the market and hasn't been offered elsewhere. It's just as we found it, still a bit dusty and dirty but guaranteed to be old and original! A gorgeous item to decorate a country kitchen!
