Here is an antique pocket watch fob pendant in very good condition. These ornate objects were historically attached to the chains of men's pocket watches during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. This one does not open like a locket or spin. Fobs of this specific style usually feature a blank shield, monogram plate, or decorative pattern on one side, and an engraved gemstone intaglio, cameo, or symbolic image (often depicting historical figures like Napoleon or mythological motifs) on the reverse. This one is blank but is ornate around the edges on both sided. It appears to be composed of patinated brass or gold-plated/gold-filled base metal, showing typical age-related oxidation. We don't see any markings and aren't one hundred percent certain of what it is made of. While originally designed for pocket watch chains, these items are highly collectible today and are frequently repurposed as vintage charms or statement necklace pendants. We found this among the items we cleaned out of a fourth-generation farmhouse in Western New York. We guarantee it to be old and untouched. It's just as we found it and hasn't been cleaned or polished.
