Sorry, this item has sold.

Here's a new, old stock packet of seeds from the 1940s in excellent, well-preserved condition! It's been stored in a dry place for generations and yet the packet is very clean, colorful, and unstained. This is an original, unopened packet of gourd seeds from Mandeville & King Co. of Rochester, New York. Their lithographed seed packets are among the best-looking ones of this period, and they are seldom found for sale, let alone full and unopened! This one has never been opened and contains "All Varieties" of gourd seeds, according to the packet itself. The front of this packet features a lithograph of a garden in the background with a pile of many different kinds of colorful gourds in the forefront. It was originally priced at only 15 cents! Now days, it's difficult to find 1940s new old stock seeds still in their original packaging. They are great for collectors of seed packets, but they are also an opportunity to try and germinate and grow actual gourds from the past. It is possible to grow from old seeds, and some folks have documented their success while providing instructions on YouTube. Attractive, detailed, and well-preserved, this packet of seeds is a nice find! We will ship as a USPS Flat in a padded envelope to help preserve the seeds from damage.
