Antique Country Primitive Carved Wooden Shoes, Eastern European Clogs

$45.00

Here's a great item for those who like to decorate their homes with primitives! These are actual, antique, hand-carved wooden shoes from Eastern Europe. While nearly everyone thinks of the Dutch when it comes to wooden clogs, people in Eastern European countries also made and wore wooden shoes. This large pair was found in Romania and they have a great, rustic appearance. They have an untouched patina and are just as they were found. Each has characteristics often found in old wood, such as worm holes or old damage from insects. We have owned these for quite some time and can honestly say there are no active woodworms or other inhabitants in these shoes. Their folksy style and original dry surface make for a great look! There are no holes or cracks. They are structurally sound and solid. Each measure about 12 3/8 inches long and about 5 1/4 inches wide. Basically, they would be a size 11 1/2 in the US. These shoes would display very well among primitives or other antiques and also would look nice among flowers and plants. Old, original, and authentic, these pieces of folk art can be yours for just $45!
