Antique Country Primitive Carved Wooden Dough Bowl, 19th Century Hand Hewn Trencher; Old Treen

Sorry, this item has sold.

Here's a gorgeous, old, carved wooden dough bowl in very good condition! Discovered in an old farmhouse, it's still solid, sturdy, and sound; there's no problems with active woodworms, termites, or dry rot. It dates back to the 19th Century and was hand-hewn from a log. There are carved handles on each end that add lots of folksy charm! This old bowl has wonderful coloring and nice graining as well as fabulous signs of age that add loads of character. Its aged and well-worn surface has all the charms of century-old wood including a great, dark patina, a few old worm holes, carving marks, scuffs, scars, and a great, smooth surface. It measures 28 inches long, 11 1/2 inches wide, and about 5 1/4 inches high, making it the perfect size for a centerpiece! Due to its primitive, imperfect shape, the measurements can vary a bit, depending on where you take them. This bowl is well preserved and has a great look! It's just as we found it, untouched and untreated. It's a super item for interior decorating, especially because this old dough bowl is a genuine antique, not one of those newly made foreign ones that will likely split after a month! You won't be disappointed in this quality piece! Makes a great Christmas gift! Don't miss out! USPS, FED-EX, or pick up at our Western New York location.
