Vintage 1966 "Your Host Restaurants" Take Out Coffee Glass, Jar, Deposit Bottle; Dairy Milk Cream, Buffalo NY Advertising, Painted Label NOS

$14.00

Here's an awesome 6 oz. take-out coffee glass from Your Host Family Restaurants. It's dated 1966 and resembles a jelly jar as well as a cream bottle. We found a small quantity of these in new, never used condition!

Once a well-known popular Buffalo restaurant chain, Your Host originally started out as a hot dog stand in the mid-1940s and evolved into a diner-like operation. At it's peak, the business had 40 Western New York locations. Eventually falling victim to competition from national chain restaurants, the last Your Host closed its doors for good back in 1993.

The front of this coffee glass has a picture of a Chef with the words “Your Host” & “The Family Restaurants” located below him. As noted under the name of the restaurant, customers had to leave a 5 cent deposit to take one of these glasses with them.

On the opposite side, it reads “Clean Comfortable Family Restaurants" and lists the following locations: Amherst, Buffalo, Cleve-Hill Plaza, Dunkirk-Fredonia, East Aurora, Hamburg, Kenmore, Lancaster, Williamsville, Rochester, The Tonawandas, Wanakah, & West Seneca. It measures 3 3/4 inches high and has no cracks, chips, or flea bites. It's a great looking advertising piece that is very well-preserved!
