Here's a scarce, never-used Ford Dealer promotional postcard for the 1969 Explorer Special series of trucks, a midyear option that isn't found in most factory literature.
The "Ford Pickup Red Book" says "A white sale special was the Explorer II, available on F100 and F250 Stylesides, and included bodyside moldings and 1967 Thunderbird-type wheelcovers on the F-100. The F-250s got bright hubcaps."
The card shows the F-100 Explorer Special and F-250 Camper special as well as a photo of the Explorer interior and another of a Ford LTD with a trailering option. The back reads:
"COME IN TODAY! Specially equipped and specially priced F-250 Explorer Camper Specials and F-100 Explorer Pickups are available right now featuring: Classic Simulated Vinyl Roof, Two Unique Colors, Special Bright Trim Molding, Bright Metal Pickup Box Handrails on F-100, and Color-Keyed Interiors with Shetland Plaid Seat Inserts".
This card hasn't been folded, creased, torn, written on, or sent. It's in mint condition and is a hard to find piece of original automotive literature!
