Here's a fabulous, somewhat rusty, crusty, old coffee grinder with a great, farmhouse look! It's straight from a barn and is exactly as we found it. The only thing we did was dust it off!
This coffee mill dates back to the 1920's and is a bit different from the others we have offered recently. It has a embossed, ribbed design in the metal on all sides and the top. It has a very cute, clam shell-like hopper with a hinged cover that's still attached. The grinding mechanism still works; coffee grounds end up at the bottom, which has a latch and opens. The metal has light surface rust just about everywhere along with some white calcification in some places, both of which contribute to its fabulous, rustic appearance!
The box portion of this coffee mill measures 4 inches long, 4 inches wide and about 4 1/2 inches high, including the hopper cover. With the grinder arm, it is about 7 1/2 inches high. The bottom has some uneven edges due to the rust, but it doesn't show or hurt its outright appearance. It's structurally sound, still sturdy and not falling apart. If you like to decorate your kitchen with country antiques and untouched primitives, you'll love this original, weathered, as-found piece!
