Here's an authentic, 19th century, wooden apple picking basket in very good, original condition. It's right out of a barn and shows age and typical wear but isn't damaged or altered. This basket has a gorgeous, untouched, weathered patina and very nice graining. It's made of split wood slats and is banded in bentwood and metal and has a round wooden plank bottom. In addition, the basket has a swinging metal carrier with wooden handle. Very primitive, its not quite concentric, the diameter measures between 15" and 15 1/2" and the height is 9 1/2 inches, excluding the handle. This is a very nice, old basket at a low price!
