Antique Bentwood Handheld Yarn Winder; Primitive Carved Wooden Whirligig

Antique, hand-held, spinning yarn winder in very good condition! This primitive piece is hand carved and made of bentwood; it dates back to the 19th Century. It has a fabulous, old patina and portions of the wood are worn smooth from past use. The yarn is wrapped around the outer frame which spins on the center rod while held by the handle. It has a fabulous, rudimentary design which gives it a folksy look! Fun to spin but looks great on the wall as rustic, primitive decor! Measures 11 1/4" L by 12 1/4" H.
