Vintage Vintage Knob & Tube Porcelain Insulators, Never-Used, NOS, Early 1900s Clay Tubes

Sorry, this item has sold.

Lot of 10 old, porcelain insulators in never-used condition! These are old, 3 1/2 inch long clay tubes that were originally made for use in knob and tube style wiring in homes when residential electrical service was first introduced. When wiring a home, hole would be drilled in wooden joists for tubes like these. The wiring would be fed through these. We found a small supply of unused, old stock and are offering them here in groups of 10. In addition to period correct restoration projects and repairs, these insulators would be great for repurposing projects and crafts. They are surprisingly strong and durable! Drill some holes in a barn wood plank and insert a row of five or six of these to make a charming peg rack! Whatever your creative idea might be, they are a good deal at 10 for $14!
