Here's a charming, antique, wooden nutmeg grinder in very good condition. We discovered this while scouting for antiques in an old farmhouse and it's all original! Loaded with character, this old, 3-piece, kitchen tool is a scarce item not often found anymore. It looks and works similar to a mortar and pestle but the top piece and center section have punched tin for grinding nutmeg, pepper and other spices which end up in the bottom section. This grinder has a beautiful, painted, aged surface that shows age and wear from use over the last century. It still has a pleasant aroma inside! There are no cracks or pieces missing; it stands about 6" high and has a diameter of about 2 3/8 inches. It has folksy shape and is a beautiful piece of old, turned, treenware that is well-preserved and quite collectible, not to mention still functional! Don't miss out!
