Vintage European Enamel Onion Wall Basket; Antique Lithuanian Onion Bin

Here's a charming, vintage enamel-on-metal onion bin that we found on a trip to Lithuania. It's white with black trim and has the word: "Svogunai" in blue, which means "Onion" in Lithuanian, of course. These were popular in Europe and the those still found today are usually German, making this a rare one.

It measures 9 1/2 inches high, 9 inches long, and about 5 inches wide. This piece shows plenty of age and wear with missing enamel, stress lines, and a bit of a grungy look. It's not rusted out and isn't missing any pieces. It would look great in a country or shabby chic themed room. If you like the farmhouse look, you'll like this!
