Antique Wooden Hercules Gun Powder Explosives Crate End Sign

Antique wooden sign advertising Hercules Gelatin Extra 30% Gun Powder ready for hanging! It was made from a side of an actual Hercules gun powder crate and has a hanger on the back. It measures 12" long by 6 7/8" high by 1/2" thick and shows age and minor wear. The lettering is sharp and readable as the photos show. Hercules, Inc., was a chemical and munitions manufacturing company based in Wilmington, Delaware. It was one of the major producers of smokeless powder for warfare in the United States during the 20th century. This sign is a relic from the Hercules Powder Co. and will look great displayed on any wall!
