Pair of 18th Century Forged Iron Barn Door Latches; Blacksmith Hand Wrought

Sorry, this item has sold.

Two early iron latches, one with a hook, in very good condition! Hand wrought by blacksmiths back in the 1700s, these were recently salvaged from deteriorating structures. One measures 10 3/8 inches long with its widest point being 2 inches. It has a hasp slot that is 2 1/4 inches long. The other latch is 12 inches long and is 2 1/2 inches at its widest point. It's slot measures 2 1/8 inches long and it has a hook. Both of these latches are forged iron, very primitive, and in very good shape. Hard to find early hardware! Buyer gets both pieces.
