Exceptional Salt Glaze Cobalt Decorated 5 Gallon Crock; J Fisher Lyons, NY

Here's a gorgeous, 5 gallon, salt glaze stoneware crock in very good condition! It's right out of an estate and is fresh to the market! Decorated freehand in cobalt blue glaze, it features a pair of tulips, a number 5 and a signature from the maker, J. Fisher, Lyons, NY. The crock has a rolled rim an applied handles on the sides which are trimmed in cobalt glaze. It's well preserved with the only noticeable damage being a few chips around the opening rim, as pictured. There are no cracks, drilled holes, repairs or chunks missing. It's truly a piece of American folk art that's well past a century old. Beautiful and scarce, you won't regret adding this piece of stoneware to your collection!
