This is a vintage Lindgren-Turner water-transfer decal souvenir from the state of Missouri. It's old stock, never used and in excellent condition, complete in its original glassine sleeve. It dates from the 1950s or early 60s and features a map of the state with cities, tourist spots, products its famous for as well as other highlights. This one even depicts the Ozarks "Houn' Dawg" too. It has the bright, vivid colors like all the souvenir decals popular at the time. These were often affixed to suitcases, car bumpers, camper windows, and such, after a visit to the featured location. Parents often appeased their complaining children by buying these decals along the trip; many built collections of them. The envelope offers complete directions on how to affix the decal. These are a disappearing form of Americana as the company went out of business in 1972.
