Here's an early kitchen tool made by a blacksmith in the mid 19th Century. This is a forged iron food chopper in very good, well-preserved condition. It has a rat tail hanger at the top and a crescent-shaped blade that's still fairly sharp. It's imperfect shape is typicial of early, hand crafted tools and gives it a very charming appearance. Great patina! It measures 6 5/8 inches long and 7 1/2 inches high. Looks great hanging on a kitchen wall or displayed in an old wall.
