Vintage 1971 Pizza Hut pinback in very good condition. It reads: "I AM AN OFFICIAL PIZZA HUT Birthday Club 71 MEMBER." It features Pizza Pete, the chain's first mascot. Pete wore a checkered neckerchief, apron, hat and mustache. The famous cartoon image first appeared in advertisements, on cups, bags and on restaurant buildings and signs. This button measures 2 1/4 inches in diameter. It shows minor age but is not faded or rusted. Scarce Pizza Hut collectible item!
